Our CEO and Founder

Dr. McLean Sibanda, Founder and Director of Megethos Legacy Catalyst (Pty) Ltd is a respected intellectual property, innovation and entrepreneurship expert with excellent understanding of different ecosystems in Africa. Considered an opinion maker in setting and implementation of innovation and entrepreneurship policies and strategies, he has extensive experience working and consulting in the private and public sectors. With over 15 years in the private sector in diamond research, engineering and patent law, where he rose to key decision making roles, he joined the public sector to contribute towards transformation and development of innovation programmes. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Africa’s first internationally accredited science park, The Innovation Hub (Gauteng, South Africa), was a Group Executive at South Africa's innovation agency, the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) and has served on boards of several companies, agencies, institutes, and organizations in Kenya, South Africa, and Spain.
